A JUNIOR LEAGUE OF NAPA‑SONOMA SIGNATURE PROGRAM

|
GLOW – Girls Leading Our World: JLNS makes lasting community impact with our signature afterschool girls' empowerment program. |
Our JLNS League members and guest speakers support the young women of Roseland University Prep.
We provide an interactive program on a variety of topics including self-esteem, healthy relationships, self-defense, and financial literacy. |
Guest Speaker: Anamaría MoralesThe final GLOW program of the 2022‑23 academic year featured Anamaría Morales, founder of College Confectionista. She graduated from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business as a first‑generation student, debt‑free, after growing up in a low‑income Latinx family with teenage parents. To fund her dream, she turned her baking hobby into a cheesecake fundraiser right here in Sonoma County.
The “College Confectionista”Anamaría shared with our GLOW students how she combined entrepreneurship and baking into a thriving business. She even brought one of her signature cheesecakes for everyone to taste! One young attendee remarked, “Anamaría inspired me to think about earning for college doing what I love.” |
Thank you to our community partners for supporting our ongoing program! |
